Sometimes, the way the light hits and the shadows add depth and a plant is full of its own power, you get a rainbow. It’s quite incredible and not the sort of bold colors you expect from a leaf. But oh boy if it doesn’t just make my heart

Sometimes you have to shift your angle to catch the beauty in something you might otherwise walk by. One of my favorite spots to photograph is at Home Depot. The garden center is just waiting for me to show off its beauty, especially at sunset.

I am a little obsessed with sunflares, especially when they create rainbows in my images. It’s so beautiful to be warmed and blinded by the sun. It’s a special kind of comfort.
